Introduction
Main purpose of the job
To strategically plan, operationally organise, direct and control Protection Services functions to create and maintain a secure working, learning and research environment. This must be done through the optimal deployment of available resources (human and otherwise) systems, policies and procedure at both campuses in Bloemfontein and Welkom.

Main tasks
1.Strategic and operational management of Protection Services
2. Physical Security
3. Investigations, crime prevention, crime awareness
4. Management of electronic security equipment and systems
5. Emergency services
6. Traffic and parking management

Nature of appointment: Permanent Support Services
Minimum salary scale: R945 269 per annum

Requirements
Minimum Qualification/ Knowledge and/or
Experience

•Bachelor’s Degree in Security Management.
•5 years Security Management experience at middle management level
•Grade A PSIRA Registered
•The incumbent must be a law-abiding citizen, without a criminal record.
•Valid Class B driver’s license

Desired Qualification/ Knowledge and/or Experience
•Relevant postgraduate degree
•Protection services in Higher Education environment
•8 years Security Management experience at a senior management level
